New motor at the WRAM show!  Fury F3A from Shulman Aviation.  Estimated delivery in April.  According to Jason, the rear mounting will be different than seen in this prototype.

Sorry Jason for the poor photo framing in pic 3

He's got a speed controller in the works too, that will be lighter in weight than the Hacker. Motor is basically right there in weight and performance with the Plettenberg. Too bad I purchased two Pletty's already. From what I gather they will go for somewhere between $250 and $300.

Man E. just keeps getting better and better and more affordable all the time. I saw in a big contest in the Czech republic that about 80% of the flyers were flying E. It's really taking over in that part of Europe. M2

That's ok... I'm used to putting my head on the chopping block...lol. The stock mount will be an X-mount, optional 4-bolt rear mounting mount shown.

Current looks high (low efficiency?) compared to Pletty.

Also it would be nice to have an O&M drawing (outline and mounting).  I was thinking that maybe I should install my firewall back a little further than required for the Pletty in case a new motor like this one is a little longer.  Anyone do this?

Yes, the numbers look high.  I got a note from Jason saying he was not sure of the amp/watt numbers due to the meter he was using.  We need some numbers from another source, or need to get Jason a better meter just to be certain of the performance numbers.  Of course I will volunteer to help...Jason???  hint, hint....

****OOPS!!  JASON'S NOTE WAS REFERRING TO ERRORS IN SOME HACKER DATA HE HAD PREVIOUSLY SENT ME...NOT THE FURY DATA****

Impressive batteries. With those numbers they are holding around 37 volts.

See my correction above....Jason's Fury data is correct. He was referring to Hacker data that he had previously sent me...My mistake

I did some other checks the same day (about 78 degree's, low humidity) and the numbers were higher than before. Must of just been the day.

OK guys, in the coming days Chad is gonna spoil me with his Eagle Tree system so we can get more data on the Fury.

Also, just trying to figure a number of motors for Toledo if it come down to the wire. Rough guesstimate, $300-$325 for the motor. How many should I look to have for Toledo?
