Hi
I have this setup in my Integral .
I have used the Castel Link to set it up used this setup that I found on this forum

Brake Strength: 40
Brake delay:0.3secs
Cut off voltage 30.0
Current limiting: Off
Cutoff type: Soft Cutoff
Motor Start Power: 39
Motor Timing:0
Direction: Forward
PWM Rate:8Khz
Hex55:85
Vehicle Type: Airplane
Throttle Type: Auto Calibrating.
Throttle  Response:5

I know its not the same engine , I have run it just a bit to try to set the lower end off the throtel but found that I neede to go to around 130 on the atv to get it right...probably no problem but I found some thing a bit strange...when the engine is put to stop the regulator is giving a short sound with some time between.....why?Huh the engine that this was used on was a 12 turn engine ..mine is 9....should I change something???

Hi Rune:

Always use the fixed endpoints setting.  It also helps with brake activation when the low end is accurately defined.

Ok Chris , change that but still I have the strange sound at low end on the throtel...but if the weather get nice tomorrow I fly it and see how it works!
If it not work nicely I change it to a Jeti.

I no longer have a CC85HV, and my memory is poor, but I think one of the early CC software?/firmware/whatever the programming was called, had an audible "ping" noise, whenever the brake came on.
Could that be what you are hearing?

The earlier firmware versions before 2.0 had a ding sound when the brake engaged.  It is either that noise or possibly the controller losing timing as it transitions from brake to normal fwd flight.

I have 2.0 firmware in it but its maybe a good idea to upgrade it to a newer one?
The engine brake lose from the firewall and made a mess out off my nose so have to fix that before I give it a new try.

Hello
I have used the day to try to get the engine to run good .
I'm at a point that I soon remove the regulator and put a Jeti Spin into the plane.
Have tried several software versions and setups ...but to get the noice away at full trotel I had to go about 6-7 % down on the atv (futaba) , I'm afraid this will give me to litle power .
Is this some that happend at the geared inrunners to or are they easier to setup with the Castel reg?

Version 1.56 of the firmware still seems to work best for our application. The brake will ding but I can get over that.

Rune,

Hope you found your answer, but in case you didn't, the Neu F3A runs really well with the Castle controllers. I have not run one with the HV85, but all the Neu/Castle sponsored guys run that combo and it works great. I am using the ICE 80 HV with my Neu and it also works really well with no complaints.
